Hi Tom, just saw this installment number 4, and unlike many sequels to certain movies which get worse as they progress, you just keep getting better...
What a mess the mess hall is, you have re-defined the term here. And the writing on the wall !!! Priceless... looks like someone was a little be challenged orthographically... "Our father who wart in..." heaven, I presume... well, we can enjoy it warts and all...
Glad you enjoyed John's lunatic place, yeah, the light he captures is beautiful, totally. If you go back through some of his past posts, he has done a series from a junkyard in a forest which are lovely, keep going back in his archives if you have time, he caught some old rusting Volkswagens that are stunningly beautiful...
And yeah, idiots with spray paint are everywhere. And a rare day it is when they do anything useful or worth looking at... mostly they just slobber out the incoherence of their existence...
Happy Thanksgiving Tom ! I hope while the vast majority are gobble-gobbling over turkey, that you are out in an abandoned factory somewhere... doing what you clearly love best...
Happy Thanksgiving, Owen! I'll be working on a new CD package design over the holiday while taking some time to enjoy the ever-brilliant Quorn Turk'y Roast , a delicacy for any true vegetarian. Seriously, it's good enough to fake even a butcher! ;)
We really enjoyed shooting the penitentiary and our list of sites has suddenly expanded once again. Just when we thought it was going dry on us! This weekend brings together a cool gathering, as put together by the Lancaster Building Conservancy here on Sunday night.. Anyone in the Lancaster area who's interested in historic buildings, abandonment, etc. should join in.
Again, have a great one and continued best from across the cold, relentless pond.
Poke around at will, Liz. ;) Thanks for your kind words regarding the work and now you have your menu already set for next year's Thanksgiving! Happy Holidays and continued best to you and yours. – Cheers!
As of April 2010, I've moved my photography site to Tumblr. Please visit me there after you're done exploring the January 2008 – March 2010 archives. Thanks!
