Pt. 3 of 4
Building #23's classrooms, hallways, medical supply cabinets, nurses offices, patient's rooms, confinement quarters, calming artwork and day rooms.
For the history of the Pilgrim State Hospital, please see Pt. 1 of 4.

I'm stunned every time with the details you catch. So these were the nurses offices ? I'm sure Nurse Ratched was looking over your shoulder. The picture of the vase of flowers is fabulous. And the urine test instructions... just unbelievable that it's all still there, waiting for your company at last with the patience of peeling paint...
ReplyDeleteAs always, thanks Owen. It's all about entering each room and seeking out something unique in it, if at all. I'd rather shoot the details, of course, but sometimes the hallways and rooms call out to me too.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to enter into a day room in a hospital like this and NOT think of Nurse Ratched? I think not.
RE: Urine test – I failed and blamed it on the delicious poppy seed muffins I've been eating so much of lately.
You have such a great eye for composition, and the subject matter is actually chilling!
